'Making abstract collage art by telling a story'
During lock down in 2020, I started working on collages cut from old Dutch magazines.
The challenge was to cut out a series of collages made out of 1 magazine. Later on, I combined geometric shapes, forms and colours from different magazines. The collages are abstract and each one tells a story about the build environment and landscape.
The basis for my compositions usually is a black and white theme combined with bright colours. I use different media, such as Acrylic, Screen Print and Fine Art Print. These WAVES series is the first of a series made with Acrylic on paper. It is inspired by the letter 'W'.
The size of the print is 12 by 12 cm. Framed 14 bij 14 cm. Available in a giclee art print. Price on request.
