'Combining geometric shapes with 3D-printing technique'
This ‘Kogge’ series is state-of-the-art printed with 3D technology on a MDF panel painted with Acrylic. The geometric 3D-print is a resemblance of the Dutch Polder ‘Koggenland’ I grew up in, with its functional lines and characteristics.
The panel comes in the colours yellow, red and blue. The colours and shapes on the panel are inspired by the Bauhaus school which celebrated their centenary in 2019.
The series was commissioned by Galerie Westerkade from the Netherlands in 2019, for the exhibition ‘Kunstenaar laat je toekomst zien’ (‘Show me your future, artist’). The size of the panel is 20 by 22 cm, referring to the - at that time - future year 2022.
