Christa Stoop (b. 1982, Ursem - The Netherlands) creates with her brand - VAN CHRISTA - abstract, architectural compositions. I like to work in different media such as screen print, fine art print, 3D-print and occasionally acrylic too. My work explores geometric shapes and colours inspired by modern architecture, art and design.

The love for geometric shapes originated in the Dutch Polder landscape I grew up in, with its functional lines and characteristics. I am influenced by Dutch artists and designers like Piet Mondriaan, Gerrit Rietveld and Jan Schoonhoven. Also, I have a thing with black and white patterns and colours, especially warm and bright ones.

In my work I like to play with chosen restrictions and mostly work in series. All my artworks have an abstract style and tell a story about the daily (build) environment and landscape.
